Glamour and elegance meets small-town charm! Alicia and Jonathan prepared for their special day side-by-side in separate charming houses and Chatham. The day’s festivities were thoroughly enjoyed at the ever so charming Willow Ridge Golf and Event Center, in Blenheim. The joy and love you could feel throughout the day was honestly so touching! Even after ten years of photographing weddings, it never gets old!

If you know me, then you know that I LOVE the first look! But first looks aren’t only for the happy couple! Often my couples request a first look with their parents, as it’s a big moment for them too. The first look with Alicia and her father was particularly special!
✨Story time✨ Her father originally was not able to attend their wedding due to travel restrictions between Canada and the UK. He was even planning to surprise her with a video message to be played at the reception. But luckily, by the time of the wedding week, her father was able to travel again, and ended up attended his daughters wedding after all!! The groom, Jonathan, sent me an email a couple weeks before their wedding to share the good news with me! He also asked if there was any time in the morning for a surprise first look between Alicia and her father! Of course we could make time for something this special! So right after Alicia and Jonathan’s first look, I sent my second photographer in the house to fetch her father who had just arrived. Then I set Alicia up for “a few more bridal portraits”, and let the magical moment naturally unfold! She was absolutely shocked, and it was the most adorable! Movements like these fill my heart with so much joy!
